Mushroom cultivation workshop for women entrepreneurship development was organized by Sathyabama- TBI for women self-help groups, Eco club, Biotechnology students, NSS volunteers, NSS Program officers and school children - as promotion and growth of small-scale industries in mushroom production using Humic acid.
Sathyabama -TBI in association with Centre for Ocean Research organized a series of 4 advanced training programs- spectroscopy & microscopy conducted. Around 55 students participated. Hands-on training on spectroscopic and microscopic analysis of biological and environmental samples at laboratories.
Sathyabama -TBI in association with Centre for Ocean Research organized a training programme on Marine Ornamental Fish Culture. Around 30 fisher women from Kanathur, village of Kanchipuram participated in the session regarding culture technologies & handling equipment, breeding, rearing and marketing.
The seaweed cultivation is being disseminated the technology at Muttom, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu for 150 fisher folk women and also through Technology Business Incubator to 25 fisherfolk women of Kovalam, Kanchipuram and Pulicat, Tiruvallur district Tamilnadu.
